Real Estate Market Update | Boston | April 2022 Vs March  2022

Welcome to The Griffin Real Estate Market Update.

If you’re thinking about buying or selling residential real estate, it’s important to understand the current market trends. 

According to MLSPIN, the marketplace for Boston residential  properties here’s what happened in April 2022 versus March 2022: 

The Number of SOLD listings increased by 13% to 168 properties with a top sale of $14.8 million at 17 Louisburg Square in Boston. 

The Average Sales Price increased by 5% to $1.65 million and the  Price Per Square Foot had minimal change, averaging $1136 per  square foot. 

The inventory of properties available for sale as measured in months  supply increased by 30% to 3.06 months worth of properties for  sale. 

The average 30 year fixed mortgage rate increased to 4.49%  according to Bank Rate.com.
