Real Estate Market Update | Cape Cod | May 2024 Vs April 2024

Welcome to The Griffin Real Estate Market Update, I’m Danny Griffin.

If you’re thinking about buying or selling residential real estate, it’s important to understand the current market trends.

According to Cape Cod & Islands Association of Realtors, the marketplace for Cape Cod residential properties, here’s what happened in May 2024 vs April 2024 

The Number of SOLD listings increased 26% to 283 properties with a top sale of $6.9 million at 9 Oppen Lane in Provincetown.

The Average Sales Price decreased 3% to $1 million and the Average Price Per Square Foot increased 3% to $524.

The inventory of properties available for sale as measured in months supply decreased by 9% to 3.42 months worth of properties for sale.

The average 30-year fixed mortgage rate decreased by 2% to an average rate of 7.17% according to Bank Rate.com
