According to Cape Cod & Islands Association of Realtors, the marketplace for Cape Cod residential properties, here’s what happened in August 2022 versus July 2022:
The Number of SOLD listings had no change with to 287 properties with a top sale of $14 million at 186 Windswept Way in Barnstable.
The Average Sales Price increased by 7% to $987000 moving the Average Price Per Square Foot up to $492 per square foot.
The inventory of properties available for sale as measured in months supply decreased by 5% to 3.1 months worth of properties for sale.
The average 30 year fixed mortgage rate increased to 5.92% according to Bank Rate.com.
