Real Estate Market Update | Boston | January 2025 Vs December 2024

According to MLSPIN, the marketplace for Boston residential properties, here’s what happened in December 2024 vs January 2025: 

The Number of SOLD listings decreased 36% to 80 properties with a top sale of $20.3 million at 150 Seaport Blvd #19C & E in Boston.

The Average Sales Price increased 4% to $1.95 million and the Average Price Per Square Foot decreased 6% to $1,238 per square foot.

The inventory of properties available for sale as measured in months supply increased by 7% to 3.43 months worth of properties for sale.

The average 30-year fixed mortgage rate had no change to an average rate of 7.03% according to Bank Rate.com.
